Abstracts can only be registered online using the Internet.
Please refer to the "Abstract Submission Instructions" listed below and submit your abstract through this page.

General Abstract:Call for oral and poster presentations

  • Excellent Presentation Award Entries: First author of Poster presentation who is 35 years of age or younger as of March 31, 2023, are eligible.
  • Student Poster Award Entries: The first author of a poster presentation who is a student (including graduate students, excluding working graduate students) as of the Annual Conference (June 19, 2023) is eligible.
  • Duplicate entries for the Best Research Presentation Award and the Student Poster Presentation Award are not allowed.
  • In principle, presentation slides and posters should be prepared in English.
    (Presentation language can be either English or Japanese.)
  • Please submit both Japanese (800 characters or less) and English (1600 characters or less) abstract text.
    Japanese-language-only registration is not available.
  • If you submit only English abstract text, please register within 1600 characters.

Presenters

Presenters must be members of Society.
If you are currently a non-member and wish to present your paper, please complete the admission procedure (payment of annual membership fee by May 1) for the fiscal year 2023 from the admission information on the website of the Japanese Society of Toxicology below.

Those who are in the process of applying for membership may also submit abstracts, but please be sure to complete the membership registration process by the abstract submission deadline.
You must enter your membership number on the registration page of your personal information (account), but you can register your presentation by selecting "applying" and entering the number "99999" in the membership number entry field. After obtaining your membership number, please update your personal information (account) from the menu page.

General abstracts

General abstracts may be oral or poster presentations.

In principle, presentation materials (slides and posters) should be prepared in English.
(Oral presentations and discussions may be in Japanese. Presentations and discussions in English are also acceptable.)

Oral Presentation

  • Presentation time will be 10-15 minutes for both presentation and discussion.
    Details will be announced by e-mail to the main presenters as soon as they are determined, taking into consideration the number of abstracts submitted.
  • The presentation will be made at the on-site venue.

Poster Presentation

Presentations will be made at the on-site venue.
There will be a core time for poster presentations on each day, with time for questions and answers during the core time.
Posters will be replaced daily.

When you register your presentation, please select whether or not there is a COI. Please disclose any COI in your presentation.

Disclosure Method

Please disclose the COI on the second slide (after the title slide) for oral presentations.
For posters, please prepare your presentation materials to be disclosed after the conclusion or before or after the acknowledgments in the poster, referring to the example of disclosure in oral presentations.

Ethical Considerations

All presentations involving the human body or human tissue must comply with the ethical standards of the Declaration of Helsinki and the "Ethical Guidelines for Human Genome and Genetic Research", and in all cases must be approved by the ethics committee of the institution to which the presenter belongs.
Please make sure that the personal information of the donor is not identified. Presentations involving animals must be conducted by animal experimentation guidelines established by MEXT or other public organizations.

The Excellent Presentation Award Entries

The first author of the Poster presentation who is 35 years of age or younger as of March 31, 2023, is eligible. Applicants are required to register this at the time of abstract submission.
In addition to the poster presentation, applicants are required to make an oral presentation and answer questions in a separate room on Day 1 (Monday, June 19).
The award winners will be announced on the evening of the second day (Tuesday, June 20), and the award ceremony will be held at the information exchange meeting (free of charge), or in the morning of the third day (Wednesday, June 21), depending on circumstances.

The award ceremony and other details will be announced in due course on the annual meeting website. The winners will receive a certificate and an additional prize.

the Student Poster Award Entries

Student Poster Award Entries: The first author of a poster presentation who is a student (including graduate students, excluding working graduate students) as of the Annual Conference (June 19, 2023) is eligible. Applicants are required to register this information when submitting their abstract. The review will be based solely on the content of the poster presentation.

Poster presentations must be made on Day 1 (Monday, June 19).

The award winners will be announced on the evening of the second day (Tuesday, June 20), and the award ceremony will be held at the information exchange meeting (free of charge), or in the morning of the third day (Wednesday, June 21), depending on circumstances. The award ceremony and other details will be announced in due course on the annual meeting website. The award winners will receive a certificate and a supplementary prize.

Abstracts can only be registered online via the Internet. The server processing capacity will be extremely slow due to the high volume of access at the deadline. Therefore, it is anticipated that it may take some time to register or not complete it. Please read this page carefully and register well in advance

1. Individual presenter registration (account) registration

*Presenters must be members of the Society. A membership number (5 digits) is required for registration.
If you are in the process of applying for membership, please select "Applying" in the membership number entry field, enter the number "99999", and make a correction to your registration once your membership number is issued. Please be sure to complete the membership registration procedure and register your membership number by the abstract submission deadline.
If you forgot your membership number, please contact the JSOT Head Office(E-mail:jsothq@jsot.jp).
The password (one-byte alphanumeric characters) is used to confirm or change your registration details. Please enter at least 10 characters and no more than 10 characters. The password can be changed by clicking "Change Password" on the menu page. Please record and keep the password you enter in a safe place.

4)Title

There is no limit to the number of characters that can be entered on the registration page. Please keep the following in mind.

Japanese Title:maximum 80 characters (including space)

English Title:maximum 200 characters (including space)

5)Summary

  • Please submit both Japanese (maximum 800 characters) and English (maximum 1600 characters) abstracts.
  • If the abstract text is in English only, please register only in English (maximum 1600 characters).

※Please do not include the title, affiliation, name, figures, tables, etc. in the abstract. If you exceed the number of characters, an error will occur and you will not be able to submit your abstract.

3. Confirmation and correction of registration details

At the end of the registration process, you will be prompted to confirm or correct your registration information.

If you wish to confirm or correct the information again at a later date, you can use the password you entered at the time of registration to display the confirmation/correction screen.

4. Registration Complete

When registration is complete, your abstract submission number will be displayed.
Please check your registered e-mail address to confirm that your abstract submission has been received. Please contact the Management Secretariat below if you do not receive the e-mail until the following day.

5. Acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts

The acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts, presentation format, presentation date, venue, etc. will be left entirely up to the Annual Meeting Chair.
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the registered e-mail address of the presenter around the end of April 2023.

The registered personal information will be used only to prepare for the operation of this year's meeting.
We will take all necessary security measures to ensure that your personal information is handled in the strictest confidence.

This Meeting (JSOT2023) agrees to WHO and IUTOX ’s Tobacco Control Act.
